On Thursday, June 22nd, Nestlé Waters was a proud sponsor of the 8th annual Canadian Water Summit. The Canadian Water Summit is a gathering of water industry professionals that explores opportunities to “collaborate on water technology and infrastructure finance, “blue economy” growth and climate change resilience through progressive policies, smart business, and bold investment leadership”.
Nestlé Waters North America’s Chief Sustainability Officer Nelson Switzer was featured on the ‘Zero to Hero’ panel, sharing stories of Nestlé Waters’ journey to sustainability. The panel was moderated by Canada Research Chair in Business Sustainability at the Ivey School of Business Dr. Tima Bansal, and panelists included Jonathan Radtke of Coca-Cola, Dan Kraus of the Nature Conservancy, and Chris Godwaldt of Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance. One of the key messages of the panel was the importance of collaborative action: corporations, not for profits, governments, and citizens must all work together to help ensure a sustainable environment for the future.
In addition to this panel, Nelson was also on Bloomberg TV Canada sharing details on Nestlé Waters’ commitment to sustainable operations and water stewardship.
Nestlé Waters Canada’s exhibit space at the Canadian Water Summit
At the Summit, Nestlé Waters Canada had a space in the vendor exhibit to share our commitment to sustainability and the science behind our operations. Our doors are always open should anyone have any questions or concerns about our operations.
We were happy to be a part of this year’s summit and are looking forward to the 2018 Canadian Water Summit!
