Company has donated $90,000 to local childhood cancer fight since 2008
CAMBRIDGE, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has donated $15,000 to Work For A Cure, the community-based volunteer cancer cure fundraising organization.
Since Work For A Cure was founded in 2008 by former Nestlé Waters employees Andy Incitti and the late Kevin Fanjoy, the Company has donated $90,000 in cash and tens of thousands of bottles of water to keep the organization’s volunteers and supporters properly hydrated during the many fundraising activities it organizes each year.
By the end of the next four years, Work For A Cure will have raised $1 million to fight cancer -- $250,000 of which will go towards the construction of a pediatric waiting area at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
“We are very thankful for the continuing financial, in-kind and volunteer support we get year-in and year-out from Nestlé Waters Canada,” said Mr. Incitti. “The Company has been with us since Day One and they continue to encourage our organization to strive to make a difference in the fight against cancer.”
