Nestlé Waters Canada and its employees expand Adopt-A-Road local clean-up participation

Company cleaning roadways in those communities where it has operations

CHILLIWACK and HOPE, British Columbia and PUSLINCH, Ontario -- Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s market share-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that the Company and its employees will expand the scale of clean-up efforts in Puslinch in addition to regular Fall Adopt-A-Road program clean-up activities in those communities where it has operations.

Employees in Puslinch will now clean up Wellington Road 34 between Victoria Road and the Wellington-Halton county line in addition to Wellington Road 34 between Brock Road South and Highway 6. Employees in Chilliwack will clean up Promontory Road, between Vedder Road and Thomas Road. Employees in Hope will clean up Flood Hope Road from exit 170 Road to exit 165.

The Hope clean-up will happen on Thursday October 18th, beginning at 10 a.m., weather permitting. The Puslinch clean-up will occur on Saturday October 20th between 9 a.m. and noon. The Chilliwack clean-up will take place on Wednesday October 24th, beginning at 10 a.m., weather permitting.

The Adopt-A-Road Program is a public service initiative for volunteers to enhance the local litter collection activities of the community where they live by picking up litter along road right-of-ways. It is a way for environmentally-conscious industries like Nestlé Waters Canada to contribute to cleaner and more beautiful road systems in their community. Under the program, the Company has agreed to adopt a section of road allowance and keep it clean. The Company is recognized by a sign erected by the local government acknowledging its efforts.
