Company cleaning roads in local communities across Canada
CHILLIWACK and HOPE, British Columbia and PUSLINCH, Ontario –Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s market share-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that the Company and its employees will celebrate Earth Day this coming weekend through participation in Adopt-A-Road activities in those communities where it has operations.
The Adopt-A-Road Program is a public service initiative for volunteers to enhance the local litter collection activities of the community where they live by picking up litter along road right-of-ways. It is a way for environmentally-conscious industries like Nestlé Waters Canada to contribute to cleaner and more beautiful road systems in their community. Under the program, the Company has agreed to adopt a section of road allowance and keep it clean. The Company is recognized by a sign erected by the local government acknowledging its efforts.
On Saturday morning between 9 a.m. and noon, employees in Puslinch will clean up Wellington Road 34 between Brock Road South and Highway 6. On Monday between noon and 3 p.m., employees in Chilliwack will clean up Promontory Road, between Vedder Road and Thomas Road and employees in Hope will clean up Flood Hope Road from exit 170 Road to exit 165.
