Nestlé Waters Canada appeared before the City of Guelph Council on Monday, November 28 to support City Staff recommendations regarding Ontario’s water-taking regulations. The recommendations made by City Staff were sensible, aligned with evidence-based and principled water-taking policies in the province.
“Our participation at Guelph Council demonstrates that we all agree in the long-term sustainability of water resources and that community needs come first,” said Jennifer Kerr, Director of Corporate Affairs at Nestlé Waters Canada. “Nestlé is committed to being a strong economic contributor while continuing to operate in a sustainable manner.”
Over the last few months, the open dialogue Nestlé Waters Canada has participated in with Guelph Council and community stakeholders has been productive. All residents and stakeholders have benefitted from the increased conversations about our shared water resources. We share the passion for water that local community members expressed throughout the process and we look forward to continuing the discussions.
Nestlé invites all Guelph residents to attend open office hours December 5 and December 19 between 1-3 PM at 23 Brock Road South, Puslinch. Office hours will go on hiatus over the holiday season, returning January 2017.
