Company donates water to assist those in need during spring, summer of 2014
TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has donated more than 1 million bottles water with a suggested retail value of $198,493 to numerous charitable organizations located across Canada during the spring and summer of 2014.
About 44,208 cases of Nestlé Pure Life Natural Spring Water, Montclair Natural Spring Water as well as Perrier Carbonated Natural Spring Water and San Pellegrino Carbonated Natural Mineral Water or 1,060, 992 bottles of water were donated between May and August to dozens of charitable organizations across the country.
For the first eight months of 2014, about 85,832 cases of Nestlé bottled waters or approximately 1,857,888 bottles of water with a suggested retail value of $347,578 were donated to charitable organizations supporting Canadians suffering from dehydration or who had been victimized by forest fires, flooding, hurricanes or temporary municipal water and sewer infrastructure failure.
The receiving organizations between May and August included Air Cadets, BC Cancer Foundation, BC Safety Charter, Big Brothers & Sisters, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Red Cross, Chilliwack Fire Department, Erin Fire Department, Ferguson Jenkins Foundation, Fraser Valley Regional District Fire Department, Good Shepherd Ministries, Guelph Food Bank, Guelph General Hospital, Guelph Lawn Bowling Club, Guelph Public Library, Hope Fire Department, Kids Help Phone, Lupus Foundation Canada, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Project Water, Puslinch Fire Department, Salvation Army, Second Harvest, Speroway, University of Guelph, University of Western Ontario, Waterloo Air Show as well as numerous amateur athletic organizations.
