Employees clean local roadways where Company has operations
PUSLINCH, Ontario –Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s market share-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that the Company and its employees are performing spring clean-ups along roadways in those communities where it has operations as part of its Adopt-A-Road program participation, celebrating Earth Day.
Employees in Puslinch cleaned up Wellington Road 34 between Victoria Road and the Wellington-Halton county line in addition to Wellington Road 34 between Brock Road South and Highway 6 on April 18th. Employees in Chilliwack will clean up Promontory Road, between Vedder Road and Thomas Road and employees in Hope will clean up Flood Hope Road from exit 170 Road to exit 165 this week.
The Adopt-A-Road Program is a public service initiative for volunteers to enhance the local litter collection activities of the community where they live by picking up litter along road right-of-ways. It is a way for environmentally-conscious industries like Nestlé Waters Canada to contribute to cleaner and more beautiful road systems in their community. Under the program, the Company has agreed to adopt a section of road allowance and keep it clean.
