Nestlé Waters Canada donates $8,639 worth of water to Second Harvest to help Toronto residents

Company donates bottled water to assist those in need during holidays

TORONTO, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has donated $8,639 worth of bottled water to Second Harvest to assist its efforts in support those in need during the holiday season.

About 34,169 bottles of water are being delivered to Second Harvest’s distribution centre in Toronto, where it will be used to help people in need of water for nourishment and hydration.

About Second Harvest
Established in 1985, Second Harvest has delivered 84 million healthy meals since its inception. With the support and inspiration of its network of donors, volunteers, agencies and partners, the organization had a banner year in 2011-2012 with over 19,000 healthy meals provided every day through 213 social service agencies. Second Harvest provides a wide range of fresh, perishable and shelf-stable foods to communities in need, with the support of over 600 food donors and its generous financial donors.
