Agency distributing bottled water to refugees now arriving in Canada

KINGSTON, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has donated 10,368 bottles of water to the Canadian Red Cross, which will distribute it to Syrian refugees now arriving in Canada.

About 432 cases of Montclair Natural Spring Water were delivered today to the Canadian Red Cross, where it will be dispersed to Syrian families who are temporarily housed in nearby Canadian Armed Forces base lodging.

Nestlé Waters has donated almost 1,268,112 bottles of water to Canadians in need across the country, as of the end of the third quarter of this year, because of flooding, severe hydration challenges and/or temporary municipal infrastructure breakdown.

The Company regularly donates bottled water to municipalities and other organizations in need during local, provincial and national emergencies, largely through its relationship with the Canadian Red Cross.

Over the last decade, the Nestlé Waters has donated millions of bottles of water during floods in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan, forest fires in British Columbia, northern Ontario and Saskatchewan and boil-water advisories and other potable water challenges across Canada.
