Special Edition bottle features stylish image of maestro on label
TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has collaborated with the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation to release a S. Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water special edition tribute bottle to one of the world’s most celebrated opera singers and an enduring symbol of Italian culture.
Available for a limited time only at fine dining restaurants across Canada, S. Pellegrino will be available in a limited edition, 100% recyclable, 1 litre glass bottle with a specially-designed, opera-inspired silver label that features a gray and white image of a smiling Luciano Pavarotti in black suit and white shirt, his arms spread wide.
“The collaboration with the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation and special edition S. Pellegrino bottle represents a new and important landmark in our ongoing efforts to create and nurture relationships with esteemed Italian organizations that are symbols of style, innovation, culture and prestige,” explained Jennifer Semley Robert, Marketing Manager, Premium Brands, Nestle Waters Canada. “In a year of extra-ordinary happenings in the world of music and Italian opera, we celebrate Luciano Pavarotti, whose remarkable voice and personality helped to develop a strong, positive image of Italy and the Italian way of living throughout the world, just as S. Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water does.”
“The Luciano Pavarotti Foundation is proud to collaborate with S.Pellegrino for this tribute to my late husband, Maestro Pavarotti, and Italian opera, particularly during a year that is so symbolic for the art form,” said Nicoletta Mantovani, Chair, The Luciano Pavarotti Foundation. “As S.Pellegrino has done in the haute cuisine scene, Luciano conveyed the idea of Italian excellence every day through his love for music and the Italian lyric opera.”
Previously, S. Pellegrino has collaborated with Missoni (2010) and Bulgari (2011) to create special edition bottles to triumph Italian talents and passion.
About the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation
After Luciano Pavarotti’s passing on September 6, 2007, his wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, decided to establish the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, named for the late maestro, and aimed to reach a double goal: on one side, keeping alive Maestro Pavarotti’s memory through the organization of extensive international events; on the other side, supporting talented young singers eager to move the very first steps in the opera world, also catching interesting professional opportunities.
