Company donated water to assist communities, individuals in need nationally
TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it donated about 2.8 million bottles of water with an approximate suggested retail value of $479,289 to numerous charitable organizations located across Canada in 2014.
About 117,473 cases of Nestlé Pure Life Natural Spring Water, Montclair Natural Spring Water as well as Perrier Carbonated Natural Spring Water and San Pellegrino Carbonated Natural Mineral Water or 2,819,352 bottles of water were donated to several dozen charitable organizations in dozens of communities across the country, typically supporting Canadians suffering from dehydration or who had been victimized by forest fires, flooding, hurricanes or temporary municipal water and sewer infrastructure failure.
Communities receiving assistance not only included those where Nestlé Waters Canada has operations, but those served by the Canadian Red Cross, which the Company supports with bottled water during local, regional and national emergencies.
Some of the other receiving organizations included Air Cadets, BC Cancer Foundation, BC Safety Charter, Big Brothers & Sisters, Cambridge Fire Department, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Union of Public Employees, Children’s Wish Foundation, Chilliwack Fire Department, City of Chilliwack, Daily Bread Food Bank, District of Hope, Erin Fire Department, Ferguson Jenkins Foundation, Food Banks Ontario, Fraser Valley Regional District Fire Department, Good Shepherd Ministries, Guelph Eramosa Fire Department, Guelph Fire Department, Guelph Food Bank, Guelph General Hospital, Guelph Lawn Bowling Club, Guelph Public Library, Hope Fire Department, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Kids Help Phone, Lupus Foundation of Canada, Mississauga Fire Department, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Project Water, Puslinch Fire Department, Ronald McDonald House, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Salvation Army, Second Harvest, Simon Fraser University, Special Olympics, Speroway, Toronto Public Library, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Guelph, University of Western Ontario, Waterloo Air Show as well as numerous amateur athletic, cultural and service organizations.
